How you can help

Interested in helping in the development of the Miner Heritage Farm?
There are a number of ways to do so:

  • By making a cash donation
    Tax-deductible receipts will be issued for donations of 10$ or more. For more details contact us: 450.991.3330 or info@fermeheritageminer.ca
  • By donating goods and material
    We have a major need for:

    • materials/accessories for the outdoor layout (picnic tables, fencing, gravel, flat stones, etc.);
    • equipment/tools (irrigation system, barrels to recuperate rainwater; lawn-tractor, wheel-barrels, computers, etc.);
    • plants (fruit plants, aromatic plants; organic plants/seeds, etc.);
    • any other material in good condition that could be of use to us
  • By donating your time
    We are looking for volunteers that would like to provide us with their time on an ongoing or periodic basis in the following areas:
    • construction/renovation;
    • gardening;
    • market garden production;
    • animal care;
    • mechanics (we have an old tractor that needs some TLC!);
    • sales in the farm’s café and shop as well as in the fruit/vegetable booth;
    • conducting workshops (crafts, gardening, cooking, etc.);
    • fundraising;
    • updating the website;
    • historical research;
    • French-English translation (for documents, website, etc.);
    • secretarial work;
    • coordinating special events;
    • etc.

I never had any other desire so strong, and so like covetousness, as that…I might be master at last of a small house and a large garden, with very moderate conveniences joined to them, and there dedicate the remainder of my life to the culture of them and the study of nature.

Abraham Cowley, The Garden, 1666
